What we made this month...

We made two of each card:

We used crystal effects on the can of sardines for a slimy gloss.
We used an oval punch to create the window to view the Happy Birthday on the inside. We also added chunky glitter to the balloon.

We played with the Color Wonder Crayons to create the watercolor effect. Also used the scallop punch for all the decorative edges. The inside of this card says, "From the Heart" so that it can be used for many different reasons.

December Class

Okay, I know it hasn't been very long, but I wanted to make sure everyone could get their Christmas cards made and get them sent out in time. So, the next classes are:

Saturday, December 5th 7pm - midnight (that's this weekend!)
or
Wednesday, December 9th 7pm - midnight.

Again, you get to make 10 Christmas cards for only $15. Take advantage of this now, the price could very well be going up to $20 in January. Bring a black ink pad if you own one, and your favorite adhesive. These cards take a bit of time, but that's all depending on the quality you want them to be. So, plan on being here for awhile.

We always have treats, and a great time. Reserve your seat today!

November Creations.

Here's what we made this month:

Two of these. Snowflakes are embossed in white. Snowflake punch window to view the saying on the inside corner.

We made two of these. Tag punch window to view the image on the inside. The city here is stamped in navy, but we found it looked better in black.
We made two of these. The ornaments have crystal effects applied to make them look glossy and give them dimension.

We made one of these. This is a small note card you can use with a gift bag. The buckle was made with a punch and threaded with white ribbon.

We made one of these. The buckle and all other Santa coat details were created with punches.

We made two of these. The base of the card was made with clear acetate, and stamped on with StazOn ink. Brushed gold and copper cardstocks.

We attached the gold cardstock on the inside, someplace to write along with a background color for the outside.

My Craft (Escape) Room

This is my craft room, the room where I go to escape the chaos that my life entails. I walk in, shut the door, turn on some music and get creative. It is setup so I can stamp, scrapbook, wrap gifts, create fun artistic home decor, or just sit and get away from the kids. From my desk I can reach 2 turnabouts that hold dye ink and pigment ink. In front of me, I have tools like scissors, staples, adhesives, stamp cleaner, and markers and pens. To my left is a wall full of paper. Cardstock, designer papers, textured cardstock, scrapbook kits, and magazines and catalogs. On the wall to my right, there are ribbons, chipboard, metal accessories, drawers full of punches, sponges, watercolor tools, rub-ons, tools for dry and wet embossing, other kinds of ink pads, and a paper cutter. I also have drawers with different scrapbooks in progress. One for each child, a family scrapbook, one for my husband's childhood, and different vacations. I have my pictures (that are printed) organized in chronological order in a huge Creative Memories box. I also have loads of handmade cards filed in that flat rubbermaid container. Behind me is a closet full of rubber stamps. Large background stamps, regular sized stampes, and regular and jumbo wheeled stamps. If you notice the quote above my desk, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful!" It's the truth. Right to the left of the closet and to the right of the door is my embellishment station. A place where I can pound eyelets, attach brads, use the heat gun. Use a cutting blade and mat. This is also where I store beads, rhinestone brads, buttons, and below are scrapbooks that need to be filled with creative inspiration and photographic memories.
