My bountiful basket booty:


5 loaves of honey wheat bread $10


fruit and produce basket: $15


4 heads romaine lettuce

3 bunches bok choy

2 bags carrots

1 head of cauliflower

1 butternut squash

1 cantaloupe

2 pounds strawberries

8 nectarines

6 tomatoes

11 small Fuji apples

1 bag green seedless grapes

1 large bunch bananas


online processing fee $1.50


Total $26.50

I give my leftovers/food I don't want or won't use to a friend that will take anything. And, because it is through the system that restaurants use, it doesn't go bad very fast. It is all usually gone by the next pickup time.

You can use bok choy for stir fry or soup. It's a little like celery, although the baby bok choy we got was kind of leafy. We really did get a haul, didn't we. Seeing it all listed like that made me realize we have some serious veggie eating to do!
