This morning after I fed the boys breakfast, Blanca announces to me that she has scheduled us both Pedi's and Mani's at noon. Wahoo! I am way overdue for those. Haven't had a pedicure since the day before Tristan was born last year, and a paid manicure for even longer. After our wonderful luxurious treatment, we head to JC Penny again to look for a new dress for the wedding. A cute dress for 11.99, when it was marked at 19.99, what a steal! She and I enjoy Baja Fresh for lunch, then run home to get ready for the wedding.

Rob & Eliza Toone,
Paul & Blanca Hoffmeier,
and Colby and I, load into the van around 3:30 to make it to the 4pm wedding in Van Nuys at the Japanese Garden. It was hilarious when the security guard directing us where to park, strokes his gun and warns us very firmly to STAY ON THE PATH. We all got a kick out of that one. After Mike and Tasha Holcomb are united in marriage,
and we go through the line to give our congratulations, Colby, Rob and Paul start handing out the Pixie sticks.
They, I'm still not completely sure who idea it was originally, but they decided to buy matching clothes to wear to the wedding and reception, and have their shirt pockets full of pixie sticks to hand out to any and all attending. It was fun, but the bride says the pictures will be distracting, since her little brother is always downing candy in them.
Oops, sorry! We walk the garden and takes pictures

Oops, sorry! We walk the garden and takes pictures before starting back to Simi Valley where the reception/party will be held. A stop at the Toones for cold drinks and to kill an hour, now off to party. The reception was held at a relatives home, and it was amazing. Food buffet, appetizer table, open bar (no thanks), dancing floor including DJ and disco balls. Good food,
